இந்திய ஹாக்கி சம்மேளனத்தின் செயலர் கெ.ஜோதிகுமரன் இந்திய ஹாக்கி அணியில் வீரர்களைச் சேர்ப்பதற்காக லஞ்சம் வாங்கிய வீடியோ காட்சிகள் தனியார் தொலைக்காட்சியில் வெளியானது. ஐந்து லட்சம் ரூபாய் வரை ஜோதிகுமரன் லஞ்சம் பெற்றதை அத்தொலைக்காட்சி நிறுவனம் அப்பட்டமாய் படம் பிடித்துக் காட்டியது. இதனையடுத்து அவர் பதவியை ராஜினாமா செய்தார். அவர் 1994 ஆண்டுமுதல் பணியாற்றி வருவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. ஹாக்கி சங்கத்தின் தலைவர் எம்.எஸ்.கில் இந்திய ஹாக்கி வரலாற்றில் இது ஒரு துரதிர்ஷ்ட அத்தியாயம் என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
இதன் மூலம் இந்தியாவிற்கே பெருமை தேடித் தந்த அந்த ஜோதிகுமரன் இவர்தான்!
'துரதிர்ஷ்ட அத்தியாயம்' என்று குறிப்பிட்ட அந்த எம்.எஸ்.கில் எப்படிப்பட்ட உத்தமர்? அவர் மீது ஒரு பாலியல் குற்றச்சாட்டு எழுப்பப்பட்டு அந்த வழக்கு பத்து பதினைந்து வருடங்களாக நடப்பதாக நினைவு. அவரால் எப்படி தொடர்ந்து பதவியில் இயங்க முடிகிறது? 120 கோடி மக்கள் தொகை கொண்ட தேசத்தில் ஒரு தேசிய விளையாட்டைத் திறம்பட நிர்வகிக்க வேறு ஆட்களே இத்தனை ஆண்டுகளாகக் கிடைக்கவில்லையா?
பிரபுஜி வேறு உணர்ச்சி வசப்படாமலிருப்பது நல்லது என்று சொல்கிறார். ஆனால் எனக்கு என் வாழ்நாளில் இதுவரை உபயோகிக்காத எனக்குத் தெரிந்த அனைத்துத் "தூய தமிழ் வார்த்தைகளையும்" இப்போது உபயோகிக்கவேண்டும் போல இருக்கிறது.
அவர்கள் இருவரையும் கப்பைக் கால்களை அகட்டி நிற்க வைத்து ஹாக்கி மட்டையை வைத்து ஹாக்கி பந்தை அவர்களது பந்துகள் மீது ஒரு பெனல்ட்டி ஸ்ட்ரோக் அடிக்க வேண்டும் போலிருக்கிறது.
காசுக்காக கூலிங்கிளாஸ் போட்டுக்கொண்டு தேசத்தைக் கூட்டிக்கொடுக்கும் இவர்களை என்ன செய்யலாம்?
இந்தியாவின் மானத்தோடு விளையாடும் இவர்கள் மாதிரி - ஜந்துகள் புழுக்கள் என்று இவர்களைக் குறிப்பிட்டு அந்த வாயில்லா ஜீவன்களை அவமானப்படுத்த விரும்பவில்லை - $#%^*@-கள் எப்போது வேட்டையாடப்படுவார்கள்?

"NEW DELHI, April 28: KPS Gill's 15-year tenure as the hockey boss came to an unceromonius end with the Indian Olympic Association on Monday removing him by suspending the IHF and appointing an ad-hoc committee, headed by former Olympian Aslam Sher Khan.
The "unanimous" decision to suspend IHF was taken at an emergency meeting called by the IOA following the sting operation which caught secretary K Jothikumaran purportedly accepting bribe to select a player in the national team.
The ad-hoc committee will have hockey greats such as Ashok Kumar, Dhanraj Pillay, Ajit Pal Singh and Zafar Iqbal as the other members.
"It is a painful decision that we made today. But it had to be taken since there were corruption allegations. We have taken the decision after discussions with former Olympians, captains and all those who have played for India," IOA President Suresh Kalmadi told a packed press conference.
"Gill was there (meeting) throughout. It was a unanimous decision and no one spoke against it. We have great respect for KPS Gill and it is not personal.
"Jothikumaran did not come unfortunately, we wanted to hear him. It was an opportunity for him to present his case," he said.

"CHENNAI: A "shocked" K Jothikumaran on Monday termed Indian Olympic Association's decision of suspending IHF as "undemocratic" and even alleged that the IOA did not invite him to attend the executive committee meeting.
"I am shocked and aggrieved at the undemocratic decision taken by the IOA in sacking me and the President of the IHF," Jothikumaran said.
Jothikumaran, who resigned as Secretary General of the IHF following a sting operation showing him purportedly accepting bribe, said the decision to suspend IHF without listening to him was "illegal."
"Taking into account that I was not invited nor I was issued with a show cause notice and not having heard my stand on whatever the issues that they discussed today, the IOA's decision is illegal and the principal of natural justice has been violated," he said.
Jothikumaran alleged that no official from the IOA contacted him for the meeting.
"Mr Suresh Kalmadi had gone on record saying that I was not present to explain despite having been invited. It is totally false.
"I had not been invited for the EC meeting despite the IOA having my telephone numbers mobile and email addresses. There was not even a telephonic message asking me to attend the EC meeting," he said.
Jothikumaran said he was denied a chance to explain his position.
"I have resigned from the IHF until I am cleared of the issue but I continue to be a EC member of the IOA. I was not issued with any show cause notice or asked to give my stand in writing by the IOA," he said.
